More of a Design Company
No stock. No repeats. Just furniture made for you.
At Elmsley, we don’t mass-produce or replicate—we craft pieces that are deeply personal and entirely yours. To us, furniture is an ancient and expressive form of art. Like the artwork on your walls, it should reflect your identity, your story, and your space.
Crafted by Hand. Designed for Home.
At Elmsley, we believe that furniture should be more than just functional—it should feel like you. That’s why we build each piece with care, intention, and a deep respect for the craft. Whether it's a coffee table inspired by nature or a bed frame built to last generations, every project we take on is rooted in the idea that your space deserves something unique.
Our Story
It all started with a love for working with our hands and a passion for design. What began as a few weekend projects quickly grew into a full-time pursuit of crafting furniture that feels personal, grounded, and enduring. We’ve had the privilege of creating pieces that now live in homes all across West Michigan—each one built with the same dedication to quality and character.
Our Philosophy
We don't believe in fast furniture. We believe in real wood, honest craftsmanship, and designs that reflect the people who use them. Every joint, curve, and finish is thoughtfully considered—not just for how it looks, but for how it lives. No two people are the same, and your furniture shouldn’t be either.
What We Do
From custom tables and platform beds to statement pieces and one-of-a-kind built-ins, we specialize in handcrafted furniture that’s made to fit your life. We work with clients from idea to install, collaborating closely to ensure each piece tells your story—beautifully and intentionally.
We love working with solid hardwoods like maple, walnut, and oak, and we’re always happy to explore new materials or styles. Whether you have a clear vision or just a feeling, we’re here to bring it to life.
Meet the Maker
I’m Marshall, the hands behind the wood. I’ve always been drawn to building things that last—pieces with substance, soul, and purpose. For me, woodworking is equal parts art and problem-solving, and I find joy in every step of the process. When I’m not in the shop, you’ll find me outdoors, sketching new ideas, or sourcing that perfect slab of wood for a future piece.
Let’s Build Something Together
We’re honored to be a small part of people’s homes and stories. If you're ready to bring a custom piece to life—or just want to say hello—we’d love to hear from you.
